Carleton University, earlier named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, has achieved further recognition as one of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers for the 10th consecutive year.
This ongoing acknowledgment highlights Carleton’s dedication to building and sustaining a community-oriented workplace. The university is recognized for its smart, caring community that prioritizes employee wellness and fostering an environment that encourages individuals to achieve their full potential.
“At Carleton, we take great pride in cultivating an environment where creativity, skills, and experience flourish,” says Carleton’s Interim President and Vice-Chancellor Jerry Tomberlin. “Our commitment to equity and inclusion, coupled with ample opportunities for personal and professional growth, are a few of the reasons we continue to be acknowledged as a top employer.”
“This recognition is a tribute to the exceptional people who make Carleton a great place to work.”
Carleton remains committed to cultivating an innovative, equitable, and inclusive culture. With more than 2,400 full-time staff and faculty members, the university continues to provide diverse opportunities for career advancement, professional development, networking, and health and wellness.
On Nov. 17, Carleton was also recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers and on Nov. 30, as a Top Employer for Canadians Over 40, both for the second consecutive year. These recognitions, in the company of other organizations of note, are exceptional honours and a point of pride.
“The judges noted that Carleton specifically stood out as a top employer for our pension plan, our policies around vacation and time off, as well as our Healthy Workplace initiative,” added Lorraine Dyke, Vice-President (Finance and Administration).
“Receiving this series of awards that recognize how we support our staff and faculty highlights why Carleton is a special community.”
The National Capital Region’s Top Employers is an annual competition organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. It recognizes the employers in the Ottawa-Gatineau metropolitan area that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. Comparable organizations are reviewed and evaluated to establish which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
