To All Members of the Carleton Community,

After almost two and half years of dedicated service as Vice-President (Finance and Administration), Lorraine Dyke has announced she will be leaving her position effective Aug. 31, 2024.  We will soon begin work on a plan to ensure a smooth transition.

Before becoming Vice-President (Finance and Administration), Lorraine served as Carleton’s first Deputy Provost (2019-2021) and as Vice-Provost (2017-2019). She was also instrumental in the development of Carleton’s Strategic Integrated Plan.

Lorraine has had a significant positive impact on the portfolio. During her time as Vice-President (Finance and Administration), Carleton was named one of Canada’s Top Employers for two consecutive years. Her leadership also enabled the development and implementation of the Finance and Administration Strategic Plan 2023-2028 which will help guide the portfolio for years to come.

We know that everyone in F&A, as well as her many colleagues across campus, will miss her support and guidance. Lorraine will be taking an extended leave before returning to her faculty position with the Sprott School of Business.

The senior management team and I will sorely miss Lorraine’s leadership and her dedication to Carleton.

Please join me in wishing Lorraine all the very best.

Sincerely,

Jerry Tomberlin
Interim President and Vice-Chancellor
