What’s Open and Closed at Carleton University – July 1 to July 6
Carleton University is officially closed on Wednesday, July 1 for the Canada Day holiday, and most offices and departments remain closed on July 2 and July 3.
Please note: All classes scheduled on July 2 and 3 will proceed. Fall registration will also continue.
The university will fully resume remote operations on Monday, July 6, 2020.
Ottawa Public Health has published new guidelines to maximize social distancing including recommendations to limit non-essential trips out of the home, work from home if possible, and implement social distancing at work. Information about working from home was sent to all faculty, staff, contract instructors and teaching assistants on March 13, 2020.
As of Wednesday, March 18, course instruction will be delivered through online and other means for the Winter term. No face-to-face final examinations will be held on campus for the Winter Term. Summer 2020 courses will be offered through online and other methods of distance learning.

Carleton University remains open and is operating remotely. Public access to the campus is restricted, as Carleton has limited access to university buildings to authorized individuals only. Health and Counselling Services
The Ontario Medical Association is developing a social distancing policy to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 cases. In response to their recommendations and to follow practices being adopted by primary care physicians across Ontario, effective immediately the Carleton Health and Counselling Services is offering visits by telephone to promote the safety of our community.

The Print Shop
In keeping with the physical distancing directives put forth by Ottawa Public Health, the Carleton University Print Shop will no longer be delivering in-person services until further notice.
We are currently working on producing a variety of COVID related notices (floor decals, posters, signs, and more) as well as fulfilling customer orders. If your department needs any physical distancing signage, please let us know!
The Carleton Bookstore
The Bookstore is open to serve Carleton! While our physical store is closed, our website remains open for business, and we are shipping course materials, clothing and more.
We’re also accepting textbook adoptions for Summer 2020, Fall 2020 and even Winter 2021 courses. Please contact our Textbook Manager Lekan Oyelola (email@example.com, 613-520-2600 ext. 8115) to submit an order or ask any questions you may have.
Mail Services has adjusted its business hours and processes. Couriers continue to make deliveries on campus, and Science Stores remain open to receive perishable items. If you have any mail related inquiries, you can reach us by email and by phone (613-520-4300).
Dining Services has moved residence dining operations to Oasis, found on the 1st floor of Residence Commons. All other dining locations are currently closed. More information can be found on the Dining Services website.

Events on campus scheduled to occur before July 31, 2020 have been cancelled or postponed to a later date. A list of known cancelled or postponed events is available online.
As of March 16, Carleton’s Athletic facilities are closed until further notice.
The Library building is closed for the time being. The Library’s online resources remain accessible and research support is still available online.
All computer labs are closed on campus.
