What’s Open and Closed at Carleton University – July 1 to July 6

Carleton University is officially closed on Wednesday, July 1 for the Canada Day holiday, and most offices and departments remain closed on July 2 and July 3.

Please note: All classes scheduled on July 2 and 3 will proceed. Fall registration will also continue.

The university will fully resume remote operations on Monday, July 6, 2020.

Ottawa Public Health has published new guidelines to maximize social distancing including recommendations to limit non-essential trips out of the home, work from home if possible, and implement social distancing at work. Information about working from home was sent to all faculty, staff, contract instructors and teaching assistants on March 13, 2020.

As of Wednesday, March 18, course instruction will be delivered through online and other means for the Winter term. No face-to-face final examinations will be held on campus for the Winter Term. Summer 2020 courses will be offered through online and other methods of distance learning.

If you must be on campus, please follow Carleton’s Safe Meeting Protocols and Social Distancing Guidelines.
