This year for the holiday season, Carleton University will be closed from noon on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 through Jan. 1, 2018 inclusive and will re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018.
Some facilities continue to operate throughout the holiday season, including the Fitness Centre, and the Pool. Please note their hours of operation below.
Recreation, Athletics, and Fitness Centre:
The athletics facilities will be open Dec. 24 and 27 to 30 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The facilities will be closed Dec. 25, 26, and 31, 2017 and Jan. 1, 2018.
The Ice House will be closed on Dec. 24, 25, 2017 and Jan. 1, 2018.
Pool Hours
All public evening swims will be cancelled starting Dec. 17. Regular hours will resume on Jan. 8, 2018.
There will be afternoon public swims offered on Dec. 23 and Dec. 30.
Holiday swims will take place on Dec. 27, Dec. 28, Dec. 29, and Jan. 2.
The pool will be closed on Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec. 26, Dec. 31, and Jan. 1.

Residence
Leeds, Prescott, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington, and Glengarry will remain open during the holiday period.
Only those residents who have registered, received permission and paid to remain will have access to their rooms. Access for all other students will be deactivated as of noon on Dec. 23, 2017 until noon on Jan. 7, 2018. No student will be permitted to remain or enter a closed building.
Food Services
During the holiday closure period, no dining service outlets will be open. Leeds, Prescott and Frontenac are suite-style residences with a meal preparation area in each suite. Dining Services will be providing a “Stocked Pantry” program in the Prescott multi-purpose room for students registered to stay. The first meal served in The Caf for the winter term is dinner on Jan. 7, 2018.
MacOdrum Library
The library will be closed during the holiday closure.
University Safety
