Phillips writes a weekly wine column for the Ottawa Citizen and the annual 500 Best-Value Wines in the LCBO, among other contributions to wine and alcohol-related publications. In addition to his expertise in the historical field of wine and alcohol, Philips began his academic career as a historian of the family and is the editor of the Journal of Family History.

Abizaid is an expert in the way the brain integrates sensory and hormonal information to modulate eating, reproduction and activity rhythms. He also researches stress, emotional eating, obesity and affective disorders. He is able to discuss how changes in daily eating patterns affect metabolism and can cause obesity or how seasonal changes affect the brain and patterns of behaviours.

Clarke’s research spans issues related to human rights; international courts and tribunals; the export, spread, rejection and re-contextualization of international norms; and secularism and religious transnationalism. Hellemans’s research interest lies in the study of vulnerability to mental illness. Her past research explored the role of adverse environmental experience in susceptibility to drug addiction. Helleman’s other main research interest is sex differences in mental illnesses – depression is twice as common among women compared to men. She is available to discuss mental health during the holidays such as addiction, depression and stress.

White is available to discuss holiday food, religious traditions, and Christmas gift giving in Renaissance England. Her research incudes historical ideas of women, court culture and 16th-century religious conflict. She is an expert on Christian religious traditions, the courts of Henry VII and Elizabeth I, English Renaissance literature, and she is particularly interested in women’s writing and Reformation history.
