About Capital History Kiosks

The Capital History Kiosks Project includes 17 kiosks around Ottawa where artist Ross Rheaume depicts different moments in Ottawa’s history. Each kiosk features an archival image or original painting. Carleton University graduate students in the Department of History developed stories alongside the images. To learn more about these little-known stories from Ottawa’s past, each kiosk carries a QR code, taking visitors to Capitalhistory.ca.
