Loiselle’s main area of research is the horror film. He released a book entitled The Canadian Horror Film – Terror Of The Soul. He has recently taught courses on monsters. In 2008, he appeared as an expert on zombie movies in the documentary Zombiemania, along with Tom Savini and George A. Romero.

Ahmad teaches a class on horror called Monsters and Monstrosities and has spoken to the media on such subjects as the fear of clowns, horror literature, the popularity of zombies and Halloween costumes and gender.
