When: Thursday, Mar. 2, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Senate Room, Room 608, 6th Floor, Robertson Hall, Carleton University
Info: Registration is required for this event.

As three key European Union countries prepare to hold national elections this year, populist and anti-European Union parties are expected to perform strongly in each contest. The outcome of these elections will be of crucial importance to the future of the EU.

Speakers Arthur Goldhammer (Harvard), Achim Hurrelmann (Carleton) and Edward Koning (Guelph) will discuss the upcoming elections in France, Germany and the Netherlands, respectively.  Panelists will examine the domestic debate in each state and the potential impacts of the elections on both national and EU politics. The roundtable will be moderated by Stephanie Kerr (Carleton).

This event is being held as part of the Faculty of Public Affairs Research Month.
