This year for the holiday season, Carleton University will close at 12 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, 2016 and will open again on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017. Keep reading for more information about building closures and other schedule changes during this time.
Holiday Building Closures
All campus buildings will be locked from Dec. 23, 2016 at 12 p.m. until the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017. Authorized staff and students may gain access using their CampusCard at card readers. All other requests for building access received by the Department of University Safety will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The Patrol Office can be reached at 613-520-3612.

Recreation and Athletics:
The Athletics facilities will be closed Dec. 25, 26, and 31, 2016 and Jan. 1, 2017. The Ice House will only be closed on Dec. 25, 2016 and Jan. 1, 2017. Visit Athletics.Carleton.ca/facilities for more information.

Dec. 24 – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Ice House will resume its regular hours on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.
Residence:
The following five residence buildings will remain open for the holiday period: Leeds, Prescott, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington, and Glengarry. Only those residents who have registered, received permission and paid to remain will have access to their rooms. Access for all other students will be deactivated as of 2 p.m. on Dec. 23, 2016 until noon, Jan. 4, 2017. No student will be permitted to remain or enter a closed building.
The last meal served in the Fresh Food Company will be lunch on Dec. 23, 2016. During the closedown period, no dining service outlets will be open. Leeds, Prescott and Frontenac are suite-style residences with a meal preparation area in each suite. Dining Services will be providing a “Stocked Pantry” program in the Prescott multi-purpose room for students registered to stay. The first meal served in the Fresh Food Company for the winter term is dinner on Jan. 4.
Food Services:
All dining services on campus will be closed during the holiday closure.
Bookstore:
The Bookstore will close at 12 p.m. on December 23 and will re-open at 8:30 a.m. on January 3, 2017. For more information, visit the Bookstore website.
