Between Saturday, Aug. 30 and Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, new Carleton University students will be treated to a variety of events and activities aimed at helping them start their university careers on the right foot.

New students can take part in one of three official programs offered at Carleton. The main program, called Join the Conspiracy, is open to students in all faculties and it is the largest undergraduate orientation program at Carleton. A complete schedule of events can be found here.

Special orientation programs are also offered to business and engineering students, as well as graduate students.

Events planned for new and returning students include:

Residence Move-In
Fall Orientation volunteers assist first-year residence students to move in. Volunteers help students carry belongings to residence rooms to ensure move-in is quick and efficient.
Note: Carleton President Roseann Runte will be in attendance, welcoming new students.

Opening Ceremonies
This marks the beginning of Orientation Week events, with welcome messages from key Carleton community members.

Canal Games
Students participate in an action-packed day of friendly competition and larger than life activities, including inflatable obstacle courses, a dunk tank, slip and slide, and much more!

Outdoor Concert featuring Chromeo

Expo Carleton
Student groups will have the opportunity to showcase and present their campus club, society or service to first-year students.

Shine Day
Shinerama is Canada’s largest post-secondary fundraiser involving schools from across the nation raising money for cystic fibrosis. Carleton’s goal this year is $30,000.
