Trepanier is a leading scholar on issues pertaining to Quebec and Quebec studies. She was the leading consultant for Quebec’s emerging identity in the documentary Enquête Parizeau, which depicts the legacy of Jacques Parizeau and his impact on the redefinition of Quebec as a nation.

Alboim worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) from 1970 to 1993 and was CBC Television News’ parliamentary bureau chief and national political editor for 16 years. In that capacity, he supervised all political and public policy coverage on CBC Television News, including all federal and provincial elections, first ministers’ conferences, leadership conventions and the 1980 Quebec and 1993 Charlottetown referenda. He won a Gemini Award in 1990 for best special events coverage for his role as senior producer in coverage of Meech Lake.
Alboim was also co-director of the CBC-Globe and Mail public opinion poll and directed the publication of all polling results on CBC Television.
