For the first time in several years, the Carleton Dragon Boat team, sponsored by University Services and Healthy Workplace, advanced to the finals in the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival held June 22 to 24 at Mooney’s Bay.

Slightly over 200 teams competed in the Festival, but only the top 75 mixed (co-ed) teams and the top 24 women’s teams go on to race again on the final day.

Each team consists of 20 paddlers, a steersperson and a drummer. The Carleton team was comprised of staff, faculty and alumni. For more information and individual race results, visit the Festival website.
