Media are invited to attend the Shad Valley Open House. The event will feature the results of this year’s student projects, photo displays and will celebrate the achievements of the participants in the 22nd Carleton University Shad Valley Program.

The most recent study involving Canadian children with disabilities states that three per cent of Canadian children under the age of 15, or 202,000, have a disability of some kind. This year, teams of Canada’s brightest high school students designed solutions to improve the quality of life for these children. These teams will be presenting their innovations to address the unique challenges presented by this emerging demographic.
