The jury was composed of Dr. Paul Van Geel, professor and chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering; Dr. Mustafa Ahmed, the course instructor and environmental engineer at Morrison Hershfield; and Jamie Bonany, the course’s teaching assistant.
“It is great to have Morrison Hershfield sponsor this award,” said Van Geel. “The students did a great job and appreciate having a local consulting firm participate in and support their efforts.”
The award certificates and cash prizes were presented by Andrew Harkness, manager of the Ottawa Environmental Department at Morrison Hershfield.
“Morrison Hershfield was very pleased to return as a representative of the consulting engineering industry and to partner with Carleton University in sponsoring these awards,” said Harkness. “Once again, the students’ work was extremely impressive and they are all to be congratulated.”
