With the disruption in transit service to campus due to a strike by OC Transpo workers, the university would like to advise the university community on the following.
For up-to-date information for students, please visit www.carleton.ca/students.
Carleton University has increased its shuttle bus service during the weekdays and Saturday for the duration of the potential strike.

CUSA Rideboard
The Carleton University Students’ Association (CUSA) operates a Ride Board for students interested in carpool options. Students who need a ride or are offering a ride are encouraged to visit the CUSA office at 401 University Centre, with a valid campus card, to post to the ride board. During the strike, CUSA will also accept phone or email postings to the ride board. Please ensure you include your student number, for security purposes, in your phone or email message.
For more details, phone 613-520-6688, email: admin@cusaonline.com or visit the web at http://cusaonline.com/ride_board.html
CUSA and Carleton University are providing the above information as options and do not accept liability which arises from sharing rides.
The City of Ottawa has also posted transit service disruption options online at
http://ottawa.ca/cgi-bin/pressco.pl?&Elist=15010〈=en.
Faculty and staff may wish to consider car pooling or alternative transportation. More information about ride sharing can be found on the university’s parking site at www.carleton.ca/parking.
In addition, www.ottawaridematch.com is a new National Capital area ride-matching system that allows commuters to quickly and securely find carpool partners. OC Transpo also has an information site at http://octranspo.com/mapscheds/Contingency/Tips_GettingAround.htm.
If you have individual concerns, please raise these with your immediate managers.
The university is closely monitoring this situation and will continue to update students on any changes in services or procedures on campus. Please also refer back to the university’s main web site for changes and updates.
