Acclaimed designer Patricia Moore will deliver a public lecture at Carleton University on Friday, November 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. in room 102 Azrieli Theatre. Moore, who is president of MooreDesign Associates, spent three years travelling through North America disguised as an 80-year-old woman to experience how people would react to an elderly, physically-challenged woman. This experience changed her life. She has since become a world-renowned designer who incorporates humanism into her designs and a leading authority on consumer lifespan behaviours and requirements.

This event is sponsored by the School of Industrial Design at Carleton University, Bruyère Continuing Care and Soins continus Bruyère. Carleton University has worked closely with the Bruyère centre to create a “smart” apartment for elderly people who wish to remain in their homes.

The lecture is free but you must RSVP by Tuesday, November 18 to valerie_daley@carleton.ca.
