Carleton University has once again been recognized as one of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers, now for the 11
th consecutive year. This achievement follows the university’s recent inclusion among Canada’s Top 100 Employers.

This award highlights Carleton’s long-standing commitment to fostering a supportive and innovative workplace for more than 2,700 full-time employees. By prioritizing wellness, professional growth and a sense of community, Carleton continues to empower its staff to thrive in their careers.

“For more than a decade, Carleton has been recognized as one of the best places to work in the National Capital Region,” says Carleton’s President and Vice-Chancellor Wisdom Tettey. “Our people are the foundation of the university’s success, and we remain dedicated to building a community they are proud of and where they can reach their full potential, make fulfilling contributions and feel a strong sense of belonging and affinity.”

Carleton’s recognition stems from initiatives like its Healthy Workplace program, which supports physical and mental well-being, alongside competitive benefits such as a generous pension plan, vacation policies and free tuition for employees pursuing further education. Professional development programs, including the Carleton Leader initiative, further demonstrate the university’s investment in its people.

“We are proud to be recognized as leaders in the Ottawa community for supporting our faculty and staff through our comprehensive suite of benefits, professional development opportunities and wellness programs,” says Duane McNair, Vice-President (Finance and Administration).

This recognition is part of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers annual competition, organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. It celebrates organizations in the Ottawa-Gatineau area that lead their industries by offering exceptional workplaces.

With over 1.3 million employers in Canada, Carleton’s inclusion among Canada’s Top 100 Employers earlier in November further affirms its dedication to cultivating a strong workplace culture.Carleton's campus during a sunny winter day
