Carment is a series editor for Palgrave’s Canada and International Affairs, editor of Canadian Foreign Policy Journal and fellow of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute. His research focuses on Canadian foreign policy, mediation and negotiation, fragile states and diaspora politics.
He is the author, editor or co-editor of 21 books and has authored or co-authored over 90 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. His most recent books focus on diaspora cooperation, corruption in Canada, branding Canadian foreign policy and state fragility.

Ian Lee

Lee is happy to discuss business in Canada, including economic growth, deficits, and the competitiveness of Canadian industries. Lee has appeared multiple times before the House of Commons and Senate finance, banking, industry and trade committees. He has been in every Government of Canada budget lockup since 2008. He attended pre-budget consultations with the Minister of Finance in 2009 and 2011. His work has appeared in the annual publication, How Ottawa Spends, concerning Canada’s retirement system, the Parliamentary Budget Officer, deficits, corporate income reform, and more.

Stephen Saideman

Van Rythoven’s research examines the intersection between emotion, international relations, and the politics of security. He is interested in what political emotions are, how they shape debates about security, and how they become sites of contestation in global politics.
