As part of the 2024 spring convocation ceremonies, Carleton University will bestow honorary degrees to five inspiring individuals for their leadership, impactful achievements and contributions to society.

“Convocation celebrates the years of hard work, dedication and impressive academic achievements of our graduating students,” says Interim President and Vice-Chancellor Jerry Tomberlin. “It is an honour to share this important moment with them.”

The honorary degree recipients — a group that includes leaders in business, public health, humanitarian work, technology, as well as public opinion and policy research — will be bestowed a Doctor of Laws or Doctor of Engineering, honoris causa. At their respective ceremonies, they will share words of wisdom and advice with the assembled graduands.

Convocation ceremonies for the Class of 2024 will be held from June 17 to 21. Full schedules and ceremony details are available at https://convocation.carleton.ca/ceremony/.

Media are invited to attend. The ceremonies will be broadcast online via live streaming at https://convocation.carleton.ca/live/.
