On Wednesday, June 28, a hate-motivated attack took place at the University of Waterloo. A professor and two students in a gender studies class were stabbed. All three victims received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and the perpetrator has been arrested.

We are deeply saddened by this senseless act of gender-based violence and our heartfelt thoughts are with the University of Waterloo and the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
