Carleton University will be closed for the holiday season from Saturday, Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, inclusive, and will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024.
During the holiday closure period, campus buildings will be locked. Authorized students, faculty and staff may gain access using their Campus Card at card readers in buildings equipped with that technology. Faculty and staff are encouraged to arrange for any required access prior to the holiday closure by contacting your Department Chair and/or Department Administrator.
Campus Safety Services (CSS) will provide access to buildings on an emergency basis only. The CSS Communication Centre can be reached at 613-520-4444 in emergencies, and 613-520-3612 for general enquiries.
Health and Counselling Services will be closed from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3.
Some facilities continue to operate during the holiday season; the following information reflects variations on this closure.
MacOdrum Library Schedule
Dec. 23 and Dec. 24: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Dec. 25 to Jan. 3: closed for holiday break
Jan. 4 and Jan. 5: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Jan. 6 and Jan. 7: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Chat Service will be closed for the holiday break as of Dec. 23. It will resume on Jan. 8.

Dining Services Holiday Closures
Beginning Dec. 18, Starbucks Nideyinan, Subway Athletics, and Oasis will be closed for the remainder of the semester and will reopen in January.
Tim Hortons Nideyinan will be open from Dec. 18 to Dec. 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Dec. 22 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Market and Urban Deli will remain open in the Food Court until Dec. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Beginning Dec. 22, the caf will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Dec. 23, the caf will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. before closing, along with the rest of the Dining Services locations, for the remainder of the holiday break.
Dining Services Reopening
Tim Hortons Athletics will be open on Jan. 4 and Jan. 5 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. before returning to normal hours on Jan. 8.
Starbucks in Teraanga Commons will be open on Jan. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will resume normal hours of operation on Jan. 8.
The Caf will be open on Jan. 7 starting at 4 p.m., and will begin normal hours of operation on Jan. 8, open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
All remaining locations will open on Jan. 8.

Recreation and Athletics
