Alex Ellery
Professor, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Carleton University

Among other topics, Ellery is available to discuss mining the moon and other planetary bodies, 3D printing, and self-replicating machines.

Ellery’s research interests include space robotics, design of serviceable satellites, on-orbit satellite servicing, design and analysis of planetary rovers, design of entry, descent and landing systems for planetary exploration, robotic drills and instrumentation for astrobiological surveys, and biomimetic design for space applications.

Richard Ernest
Professor, Earth Sciences at Carleton University

Ernst is available to discuss Venus and the work the Venus International Research Group is doing. The group is based at Carleton, but has teams working in Morocco, Siberia and India. Ernst’s research looks at the transformation of Venus from a planet that was much more Earth-like to something uninhabitable caused by volcanism and greenhouse gasses.

Jurek Sasiadek

Sasiadek is available to speak about advances in space technology including robotics and automation, control systems, guidance and navigation and aerospace control. His research looks at topics including guidance, navigation and control (GNC), robotics, sensor and data fusion, space robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, mobile robots, intelligent and adaptive control systems and autonomous systems.
