Carleton’s Health and Counselling Services (HCS) is now able to book appointments for second-dose mRNA (Moderna) vaccines for eligible people aged 18 or older in 2021. To facilitate the administration of these vaccines, members of the Carleton community are asked to book an appointment for one of the available dates and times. Appointments are currently available on June 28, July 8 and July 9, 2021.

To book an appointment, you must be:

  • Aged 18 or older in 2021
  • A Carleton employee, student or approved contractor
  • Eligible for the second vaccine dose (28 days after your first dose of an mRNA vaccine or eight weeks after your first dose AstraZeneca vaccine).

Please note that you can book your second dose appointment at HCS even if your first dose was administered elsewhere.

After booking your appointment online, you will receive a confirmation email for the date and time of your vaccine.

To support all Carleton employees in getting the COVID-19 vaccine, Carleton will provide up to two hours of leave for each of your vaccination appointments. This time will not be deducted from any other leave balance (special, annual, etc.). Should you require more than two hours for your appointment, we encourage you to discuss this with your manager. Note that no proof of vaccination will be required to claim this leave. Should you have questions or concerns about leave for vaccination, please contact Debbie Orme-Rego in Human Resources.

We will continue to provide updates as we receive additional vaccine allocations and supply from Ottawa Public Health.
