To All Members of the Carleton Community,

Carleton University continues to closely monitor the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccination rates locally and nationally, as well as recent communications from the provincial government. It is expected that the situation and associated public health recommendations will continue to change as we get closer to September, and we will adjust as required. The health and safety of all members of our community remains the university’s top priority.

In the meantime, we are continuing to implement our existing return to campus plansAll units in phase 3 should continue to prepare their return to campus and staffing plans to ensure we can provide face-to-face support for our students on campus starting August 23.

Courses that have been scheduled to be delivered in person and/or online will continue as planned. Throughout the fall term, and in line with provincial and public health guidance, we will look to increase on-campus opportunities for students to connect with friends, study and do group work together, and safely increase access to additional student spaces.

For more information regarding Carleton’s response to COVID-19, please visit the COVID-19 website.

We will continue to monitor the situation and the evolution of Ontario’s reopening plan, and will keep the community updated as we receive more details.

Sincerely,

Suzanne Blanchard
COVID-19 Lead
