Ian Lee

Lee is available to speak about the vote’s implications for Canada’s economy and growth, government deficits, trade and relationship with China.
Alexandra Mallett
Professor, School of Public Policy and Administration

Mallett will be available for interviews as of Sept. 22. She will be available to discuss the impacts of the election on sustainability and climate change issues.
Mallett’s experience spans academia and the public sectors, working on the design, implementation and evaluation of energy, climate change and environmental policy.
Her research interests include examining the innovation, co-operation, and adoption processes involved in sustainable energy technologies, especially in emerging economies, Canada and the United States. Her research also focuses on changes in the governance of natural resources, with a particular focus on mining.
She has worked for the Canadian government, an intergovernmental organization and academic institutions.
Elliot Tepper

Tepper is a professor of comparative politics and international relations. He is available to discuss and interpret the results of the election.
He regularly provides media commentary at home and abroad on a wide range of topics, providing context and deep background to the news stories of the day. Tepper’s areas of expertise include American politics, diversity issues in Canada, geopolitics, immigration and multiculturalism.
Stephen White
Professor, Department of Political Science

White is available to speak about the election results and voter turnout. His research focuses on Canadian and comparative public opinion and political behaviour, as well as immigrant political incorporation. He is a co-editor of Comparing Canada: Methods and Perspectives on Canadian Politics, and has contributed articles and chapters on North American political cultures, attitudes towards immigration and immigrant political engagement.
Conrad Winn
Professor, Department of Political Science

Winn’s research interests include public opinion, communications and public affairs. He has extensive experience in polling and is available to discuss a range of topics related to the election results.
In recent years, his geographic focus has extended from North America to volatile societies on three continents, where he has done polling. His special interest is democracy, its appeal and its adversaries. As a public opinion researcher, Winn has provided strategic counsel to the main media chains in Canada, many individual newspapers, federal departments, provinces and government agencies.
