Carleton University’s David Carment, Canadian Global Affairs Institute (CGAI) Fellow, professor at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) and editor of the Canadian Foreign Policy Journal (CFPJ), has released the newest issue of CFPJ focused on the most pressing issues facing Canada today.

The issue features a number of articles from emerging and established scholars. The lead article by Carleton professor Aaron Ettinger titled Rumors of restoration: Joe Biden’s foreign policy and what it means for Canada, asks the key question of whether Canada can expect an improvement in Canada–U.S. relations in a post-Trump world.

Articles by Ken Holland, Adam MacDonald and Tsuyoshi Kawasaki examine Canadian security and defence issues in the context of Canada–China relations. Kari Robert’s important piece looks closely at the Canada–Russia relationship in the Arctic and lays out what should be done to enhance co-operation between the two states in the circumpolar region. An article on the relationship between populism and foreign policy by Philip Giurlando rounds out the issue.
