Visit Carleton’s COVID-19 website.

October 8, 2020

Under orders from the Government of Ontario and guidance from Public Health Ontario and Ottawa Public Health, Carleton University is required to implement COVID-19 screening for all employees (including faculty, contract instructors, staff and teaching/research assistants), students and visitors.

Effective immediately, the short COVID-19 screening form must be completed each day you plan to enter a Carleton University building. An email confirmation of your submission will be sent to your Carleton email account. Please keep this email for your records and inform your manager/supervisor/chair when indicated in the email confirmation.

Employees are expected to continue to work remotely if their duties can be performed remotely. If you are required to be on campus, in addition to completing the COVID-19 screening form, you must follow the existing building access protocols and ensure you have completed the required training on cuLearn. We continue to encourage everyone to review the COVID-19 information website for preventative steps. In particular, wear a mask, stay two metres away from others, isolate yourself if feeling unwell, and exercise frequent hand hygiene.

If you have been on campus in the 14 days prior to the onset of symptoms potentially linked to COVID-19, have had a positive COVID-19 test result or have been advised by public health authorities that you must self-isolate (including under the Class Section 22 order), you are required to submit a report.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we navigate through these challenging times together.

Sincerely,

Suzanne Blanchard
COVID-19 Lead on behalf of the COVID-19 Steering Committee
