Event Details:
The United States seems to be permanently engaged in a ritual of deciding who will hold power in America. Even prior to the previous presidential election in 2016 and now in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the rhetoric and hype are reaching fever pitch. This presentation will discuss the dynamics of the American electoral process as well as the personalities, factors, and issues that will determine the outcome of the 2020 election.
About the Speaker:
Tepper is a political scientist and a veteran professor of comparative politics and international relations at Carleton. He regularly provides media commentary at home and abroad on a wide range of topics, providing context and deep background to the news stories of the day. Tepper’s long career in academia and his keen observation of public policy gives him a unique perspective on topics of current interest.
