Carleton University will hold a vigil to remember the lives of all of the victims of the Tehran plane crash – one week after the terrible tragedy.

Fareed Arasteh, a PhD student in biology, and Mansour Pourjam, a biology alumnus, were aboard the Ukrainian airliner that crashed on Jan. 8, 2020 killing all 176 passengers and crew, including 63 Canadians.

When: Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Tory Building foyer, Carleton University
Info: Condolence books will be available to sign. A campus map can be found online.

“The Carleton community is a caring one and we support each other in good times and in bad,” said President Benoit-Antoine Bacon. “Universities across Canada have been devastated by the loss of students, faculty, staff and alumni; as we honour Fareed and Mansour, we will also pay homage to all of the victims of this terrible tragedy.”
