From July 20 to July 27, youth from up to 37 First Nation communities across northern Ontario are taking part in the Nishnawbe Aski Nation Youth Leadership Development Initiative at Carleton University.
As part of the first Youth Leadership Development Initiative, Nishnawbe Aski Nation and Carleton will co-host a gathering of dignitaries during the multi-day event.
When: Thursday, July 25, 2019, at 2 p.m.
Where: Room 2228, Richcraft Hall, Carleton University
Media are invited to attend the event.
Throughout their time on campus, youth attendees will engage with educators from Nishnawbe Aski Nation and Carleton in sessions that will support their ability to shape the future of their communities.
This initiative is part of a collaboration between the Nishnawbe Aski Nation, the Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs, and Carleton.
