Carleton University will welcome alumnus David Coletto, chief executive officer and a founding partner of Abacus Data, as host of an expert panel to discuss pressing issues of the 2019 federal election as part of the Currents lecture organized by the Faculty of Public Affairs.

This lecture will explore the most important trends of the 2019 federal election. Coletto will share his perspective as a long-time political watcher and professional pollster. He will join panel members Anne McGrath, NDP strategist and associate at Hill+Knowlton Strategies; Tim Powers, vice-chairman of Summa Strategies; and Paul Thomas, senior research associate at the Samara Centre for Democracy, to discuss major election issues, political leaders, predictions and more.

Coletto is a Carleton alumnus, having earned both his Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management and Master of Arts in Political Science. He was named one of FPA’s 75 for the 75th during the university’s anniversary year in 2017.

A reception will follow the panel event.

FPA Currents is an annual lecture held in September as part of Carleton’s Throwback celebrations. While the topic for the lecture varies, the theme is always at the intersection of politics, policy, journalism and current affairs.
