Carleton’s therapy dogs program is a student support program and acts as a bridge to other services. Carleton therapy dogs greet students during weekly office hours and attend special events throughout the term.

In the first year of Carleton’s therapy dogs program, more than 1,700 students used the service. Students have reported that spending time with the therapy dogs has helped them cope with feelings of loneliness, stress and homesickness.
