Carleton University’s School of Mathematics and Statistics will host the fifth annual Ottawa International Hockey Analytics Conference in collaboration with St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y.
The two-day event will bring together students, academics, coaches, players and sports data enthusiasts to discuss the collection and analysis of hockey data in workshops and expert panels.
Workshops: Intro to Tableau and Scraping NHL Data
When: Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, workshops begin at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Where: Rooms 1200 and 1201, Richcraft Hall, Carleton

Intro to Tableau will be hosted by Sean Tierney, while Scraping NHL Data will be led by Roman Parparov.
Hockey Analytics Conference
When: Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, conference begins at 8:30 a.m.
Where: Room 1301, Health Sciences Building, Carleton

The conference will include a keynote address by hockey data analyst Ryan Stimson, a session featuring The Last Stretch Podcast, discussions on shot tracking and the state of hockey analytics.
This conference is organized by Carleton Prof. Shirley Mills and Prof. Michael Schuckers from St. Lawrence University.
