Carleton University’s School of Industrial Design, part of the research-intensive Faculty of Engineering and Design, will host Grad Show 2019 – an exhibition by the graduating class showcasing their final product designs. Their creations will address user problems that emerge in workspace design; leisure activities; health and wellness; social and humanitarian design; automation design; environmental design; extreme condition design and entrepreneurship.

When: Friday, April 12, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Atrium, Fourth Floor, University Centre, Carleton

Media are invited to attend the event.

The exhibition will highlight the application of design principles in the graduating students’ comprehensive design projects. The event will highlight student research, product iteration through design and engineering, and product design solutions for user problems.

Guests will have the opportunity to view physical models of the designs and interact with the products.

The exhibition will feature remarks by the School of Industrial Design Director Bjarki Hallgrimsson, professors of the fourth-year course and guest speakers from the field of design.

Works by other undergraduate and graduate design students will also be displayed.
