Carleton University will host its third annual Life Sciences Day – featuring exciting panel discussions, innovative research presentations and program demonstrations.

The event will bring together academic, government and industry sectors to explore the important work underway in the field of life sciences at Carleton. This year’s event will focus on the themes of Ottawa’s life sciences ecosystem, plant sciences and human-microbe interactions.

Life Sciences Day will showcase Carleton innovation and provide an opportunity for students and researchers in life sciences to meet and explore partnership possibilities with attendees. This multidisciplinary event will bring together research from the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Engineering and Design, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Public Affairs.

Presentations by Carleton researchers will underscore the variety of life sciences research across all faculties. A panel of Ontario life sciences industry members will explore industry needs and potential for partnerships. A poster competition will feature presentations by more than 30 students, with cash prizes awarded to undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral presentations. There will be ten exhibitor booths for attendees to visit during the event.
