About Cinquecento: Carleton Celebrates Leonardo da Vinci
Cinquecento: Carleton Celebrates Leonardo da Vinci was a year-long celebration looking at da Vinci’s work with fresh eyes. In Italian, “Cinquecento” means 500 and, for this series of events, refers to the 500 years since his passing. During Cinquecento, Carleton’s faculties came together to explore da Vinci’s interdisciplinary innovations. Cinquecento was a comprehensive look at the life and work of one of history’s most fascinating people.
