Carleton University is pleased to announce that Tim Lott is Carleton University’s new Assistant Vice-President (Information Technology Services) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) effective June 1, 2018.

Lott joined Carleton in 2014 to lead the university’s Cybersecurity program. He is a member of a number of security organizations and currently holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and is a certified Payment Card Industry Professional.

Prior to Carleton University, Lott held a variety of IT-related positions spanning three decades, from a small IT-based company to leading operations teams at Nortel and Bell Canada.

Lott has been Acting CIO since October 2017.
