Jaskolka’s research interests span the areas of cybersecurity, software engineering, distributed systems, and formal specification and verification.
Jaskolka is available to discuss cybersecurity assurance and evaluation – how the security of systems is evaluated and convincing others that systems are secure. He is also available to discuss the need for security-by-design, which is the idea that systems security needs to be “built-in” instead of “bolted-on” to systems.

Matrawy leads the Next Generation Networks research group at Carleton. The group focuses on innovative networking architectures and is currently conducting research in network security and privacy, software-defined networking, Internet-of-Things (IoT) and Internet location verification.

Somayaji is available to discuss topics related to systems security, data breaches, malware and IoT security.
Somayaji’s research interests include computer security, operating systems, intrusion detection, complex adaptive systems and artificial life. He is associate director of the Carleton Computer Security Lab. His recent work delves into the importance of diversity in software and aims to explain how this strategy is different from standard practice and how it should be integrated into new software.
