Carleton University’s School of Industrial Design will host Beyond – the 40th Annual Industrial Design Graduation Exhibition. The showcase of Bachelor of Industrial Design student projects will demonstrate how design allows us to surpass limits to redefine our perception of what is possible and make it a reality.

Project areas include art-making and music-making to assist artists with disabilities to create in a more inclusive way; supporting the comfort of older adults in air travel experiences; combinations of music and exercise devices for older adults to improve motivation; and digital tools to help find parking on the Carleton campus.

There will be an advance media opportunity to view exhibits and talk to organizers and exhibitors on Friday, April 20, at 10 a.m.

When: Saturday, April 21 to Monday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Fourth Floor Galleria, University Centre, Carleton University
Info: This event is free and open to the public.

At the exhibition, visitors can view innovative student projects, meet new designers and ask them about their vision of the future.

Carleton’s School of Industrial Design recently received international attention after two students took the top prizes at a major global student design competition. A story on these prize-winning designs can be found here.
