Research Fellow, the Confucius Institute
Levy was the 2013-2015 Research Fellow with the Bell Chair in Canadian Parliamentary Democracy.
Levy was editor of the Canadian Parliamentary Review for 33 years and he has worked for the Library of Parliament as a researcher and seminar co-ordinator. He taught Political Science at the University of Western Ontario and lectured occasionally at Ottawa University and the University of British Columbia. He served as a consultant to the 1982-‘83 Special Committee on the Standing Orders, the 1985 Special Committee on Reform of the House of Commons, the 1990 Special House of Commons Committee on the Meech Lake Accord and various other House and Senate committees.
His research focuses on parliamentary conventions and procedures and the future of responsible government in Canada.
