Carleton to Sign Co-operation Agreement with Belgian University

Carleton University will sign a co-operation agreement with the Université catholique de Louvain of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.

When: Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Where: Tory Building Lobby, Carleton University, 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa

  • Sébastien Van Bellegem, dean, Faculty of Economics, Social and Political Sciences, and Communication, Université catholique de Louvain
  • Carleton President Roseann O’Reilly Runte (represented by Rafik Goubran, Carleton vice-president (Research and International)
  • Carleton Prof. Matthias Neufang, dean, Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs

Background:
The agreement will support efforts of the universities to intensify academic co-operation, particularly in the fields of economics, social science, political science and communication. The universities will agree to foster their mutual collaboration through teaching and research opportunities. Goals include developing joint research projects and exchange programs, both at the faculty and student level.
