Carleton Ravens Women’s Rowing Team Captures Silver in Boston

The Carleton Ravens women’s rowing team captured silver in Boston at the Head of the Charles Regatta on Oct. 22 and 23, the largest two-day rowing event in North America.

With a total of 10,252 athletes from 820 clubs in attendance, Carleton’s women’s and men’s teams raced against top teams in a 4.8 km winding course on the Charles River as thousands watched. The women’s team raced to its 2nd place finish in a field of 35 university/college crews.

The women’s crew consisted of Gabriele Zitityke, Mikayla Arends, Karlee Vanhie, Anna Currie and coxswain Delaney Gilmore.

Carleton Ravens Women’s Rowing Team Moves on to OUA Championships

Carleton’s rowers next compete in the OUA conference championships from Oct. 28 to 30, hosted by Brock University at the Royal Canadian Henley Rowing Course – Martindale Pond in St. Catharines, Ont.
