Carleton’s Initiative for Parliamentary and Diplomatic Engagement will be hosting a panel event The U.S. Election: A Wild Ride Ahead for Canada? to discuss what the upcoming U.S. election will mean for Canada in terms of trade, security and the environment.

The event will feature a presentation by Colin Robertson, vice-president of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute, and a panel discussion with three astute observers of Canada-U.S. relations. Panelists include:
- Gary Doer, former Canadian ambassador to the United States and former premier of Manitoba,
- Gordon Giffin, senior advisor to the Clinton campaign and former U.S. ambassador to Canada,
- Ron Kaufman, Republican strategist and former White House political director for former president George H.W. Bush.
