Carleton to Host Policy Conference on Responsible Investing

The Carleton Centre for Community Innovation will be hosting a two-day conference Moving To Impact: Responsible Investing in Canada, which will gather key leaders and policy experts to discuss responsible investing.

When: Wednesday, Oct. 19 and Thursday Oct. 20, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. to noon, respectively.
Where: Room 2220, River Building, Carleton University, Ottawa.

The conference will feature panels and more than 40 international and national speakers focused on issues such as climate change, fossil fuel divestment and other emerging risks in the financial system. This important policy conference is being held during Canadian Responsible Investment Week.

Alberta Environment Minster Shannon Phillips will deliver a keynote address on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 4 p.m. Additional keynote speakers include one of the United Kingdom’s leading responsible investment thinkers, Gordon Clark (University of Oxford), U.S. expert Cary Krosinsky (Yale University) and Paul Shrivastava (Future Earth).
