Dunton Tower Re-opens After a Power Outage

Update 3 – Sept. 15

Repairs have been completed and the power is back on in Dunton Tower. The building is now open and occupants can return to their normal work areas.

However, for today, classes will remain in temporary locations as advised and will resume regular schedule in Dunton Tower tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 16.

Facilities Management and Planning appreciates your co-operation during this emergency outage.

 

Update 2 – Sept. 14

To all Members of the Carleton Community,

At this time, Dunton Tower remains closed until further notice. Facilities Management and Planning continues to work to fix the electrical outage in the building.

An update will be provided by noon on Thursday, Sept. 15.

Scheduling and Examination Services is in the process of rescheduling classes held in Dunton Tower on Thursday and they will notify – by email – all students impacted.

Faculty and staff who work in Dunton Tower are encouraged to continue to work in MacOdrum Library or another location on campus, if possible, or work from home in consultation with your supervisor.

Dunton Tower is closed today and tomorrow, Sept. 13 and 14, due to an electricity outage and flooding in the building. We are encouraging anyone still in the building to leave.
