Carleton University’s Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) in the Faculty of Public Affairs will be hosting a panel entitled Building Effective Women, Peace and Security National Action Plans: Lessons from the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. The panel will focus on lessons-learned from the national action plans of the three nations to ensure women’s participation in peace and security matters.

The panel will be composed of experts from Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands as well as Global Affairs Canada. Panelists include:
- Elisabet Hedin, Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency (SIDA)
- Sine Holen, Norwegian Defence University College
- Ella Van den Heuvel, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Netherlands
- Anne Burgess, Global Affairs Canada
The panel will be moderated by Pauline Rankin, associate vice-president (Research and International), commentators will be members of NPSIA and the Faculty of Public Affairs. A question and answer session will follow the panel presentation.
