Carleton Partnership to Bring Travelling Carillon to Ottawa

Carleton University performance faculty member, Andrea McCrady and Carleton student Devon Hansen, in partnership with Chamberfest, the military musical production Fortissimo, Carleton University Jazz Camp and the House of Commons, will be touring the Ottawa region with a mobile carillon.

About Carleton’s Certificate in Carillon Studies
Carleton offers Canada’s only carillon studies program. The two-year program allows students to learn this unique instrument as part of their performance studies requirement or as an independent certificate.

Students are instructed by McCrady and able to study with the aid of a practice carillon installed in a specially designed room. Weekly lessons and student public performances are held at the Parliament Hill Peace Tower and played on the national carillon.
