Police Officers on Campus June 26-30

A large group of police officers from across Ontario, including the RCMP, will be staying in Carleton’s residences from June 26 to 30 and will be parking in Parking Lot 7. The officers are providing security for the North American Leaders’ Summit hosted by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and attended by the President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto and U.S. President Barack Obama in Ottawa on June 29.

On June 29, there will be major traffic disruptions in the morning and in the late afternoon. From 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Bronson Ave. will be completely closed from the airport to Colonel By Dr. It is advised that you use the Colonel By entrance to get to campus. Details about the afternoon road closure will be provided when they are available.

Bus routes to Carleton’s campus will also be impacted. Please consult the OC Transpo website. The O-Train will not be impacted.

We will update you as information is available.
