Kikinàmàgan Powwow to Welcome Students and Celebrate Aboriginal Cultures

Students, media and the general public are invited to attend the fourth annual Kikinàmàgan Powwow on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014. The powwow will welcome Aboriginal students and share traditional aspects of Aboriginal cultures, including First Nations, Inuit and Métis performances. It’s a great opportunity for Aboriginal post-secondary students in the National Capital Region and the Outaouais to interact, create networks and acclimatize to student life.

Uniquely, the powwow is being co-organized by Algonquin College, Carleton University, Cégep Heritage College, the Cree School Board, La Cité, and the University of Ottawa.

This event is open to the public with a $5 suggested donation. All proceeds raised will go to the Aboriginal Graduate Honouring Ceremony held jointly by these institutions each April.

When: Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Where: CégepHeritage College, 325 Boulevard Cité des Jeunes, Gatineau, Que.
