Obesity in children and youth has reached epidemic proportions. In Ontario alone, more than 25 per cent of children between the ages of two and 17 are considered overweight or obese.
Teams of Canada’s brightest students attending Shad Valley at Carleton University will be presenting their innovations to address the unique challenges presented by childhood and youth obesity on Thursday, July 26. Media are invited to attend.
